Facebook and Instagram data deletion

ReadTHN Publisher connects authorized Tar Heel Nation administrators to THN-managed Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts. It is not offered as a public login service for ReadTHN readers.

Disconnect the integration

An authorized administrator can remove ReadTHN Publisher from the Business Integrations or Apps and Websites section of their Facebook settings. Removing the integration revokes its access through Meta. Menu names may vary as Meta updates its products.

Request deletion

Email alwin.eapsolutions@gmail.com with the subject “ReadTHN Publisher data deletion.” Include the name of the connected Facebook Page or Instagram professional account so we can identify the correct integration record. Do not send passwords, access tokens or other account credentials.

After confirming the request is authorized, we will delete stored Meta access tokens, connected-account and Page identifiers, granted-permission records, and integration metadata that are not required for security or legal compliance. We will complete verified requests within 30 days and send confirmation to the requesting address.

Previously published content

Disconnecting the integration or deleting stored integration data does not automatically remove posts that were already published to Facebook or Instagram. Those posts can be deleted directly from the relevant Page or Instagram account.
